DROP-IN EXERCISE
EXERCISE CLASS LEVEL DEFINITIONS:
OPC
has created different levels of difficulty to describe our exercise
classes. Use these levels as a guide to help you decide which
class is best suited for you.
1) Great Place to Begin, 2) "Above a Rookie", 3) Intermediate, 4) Advanced
OPC requires that if you have high blood pressure, diabetes,
hypoglycemia, heart problems, osteoporosis or if you are 30 lbs or more
overweight, to consult with your doctor before starting any exercise
program.
PLEASE NOTE:
Warming up and cooling down are important components of a safe and
effective exercise routine. You need to arrive on time to
participate in the warm-up for each class. It is at the instructor’s
discretion to turn participants away should they not arrive on time
for a class.

Would you like some pointers from a personal trainer but don't want an
entire training session? Just ask Vince! Vince is a
personal trainer who will be here to answer any questions you may have
and give you some pointers in the weight room.

FITNESS IN MOTION (3)
A fun combination of low impact cardio exercise; working your heart
and lungs, resistance exercise to increase your muscle strength and
endurance, and stretching for improved range of motion and
flexibility. Bring an exercise mat for floor work and wear
comfortable clothes and supportive shoes. Bring water bottle.
HEART HEALTHY FITNESS (1)
It
is never too late to become physically active to achieve health
benefits. This class is designed to help improve heart and lung
condition while minimizing the impact to joints. Heart Healthy
club includes all the essential fitness components: strength
training, aerobic conditioning and stretching your body to promote good
posture. Bernie Hung from Crittenton Wellness Center at the OPC
will be here supporting our Healthy Heart Fitness Class. Risk
factor Profiling and Screening.
Holistic Massage
Massage
therapy for the whole body or tar get
specific areas. Please sign up in 15 minute
increments. Please bring a water bottle to drink after your massage.
LOW-IMPACT AEROBICS (4)
This
high energy, challenging workout is for the advanced fitness
seeker. Class includes a warm-up, 30 minutes of non-stop cardio,
target toning and finally a stretching cool-down. Hand weights, elastic tubing, and balls are for resistance. Includes floor work.
Bring an exercise mat; wear comfortable clothes and supportive
shoes.
MUSCLES IN MOTION (2)
Take
the "work" out of your workout. This moderately-intense aerobic
class is designed for you to have fun while working every muscle to
burn fat and attain a fit body. Great class for beginners or those who are getting back into exercise.
Personal
Training
Certified personal trainers
specializing in health
for the older person are available. Speak with a trainer at
248-608-0278. Cancellations prior to 24 hours required for full
refund.
STRETCH & BALANCE (1)
Improving balance, coordination and flexibility is the goal
of this class. The class uses light weights and elastic tubing
to improve muscular strength and range of motion. Chairs are
used for standing and seated support
WEIGHT ROOM & CARDIO ROOM
Weight Room
available to those who have taken the Weight Room Orientation, the
Cardio Room is available for all members. Membership card and exact
change are required. Monthly cards are $25 for unlimited use of the
pool, weight room, and cardio room.

Orientations are scheduled at the Sports
Desk. This class is required for you to use
the weight room.
